An AAV is a plumbing waste valve. It is used to allow air into plumbing waste system

AAV = air admittance valve



A characteristic of drain pipes that signifies the stiffness of a pipe that is greater than 80mm in diameter. Normal domestic drains will be SN4 and SN6. Drains used in ares such as under roads will be SN16 as they may be subject to higher loads and require stronger pipe walls.

The SN types are: SN4, SN6, SN8, SN10, SN16.

SN = Nominal Stiffness.

DN = Nominal Diameter (Inside diameter)
